It is with loving thoughts and memories we mourn the passing of William (Bill) Gallagher Sr. of Sharon Hill, PA. Bill was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, whose life began on February 24, 1942, and ended on November 3, 2023, at the age of 81 years.
During his life, Bill was blessed with a large and loving family. He met his wife-to-be, Eileen (Nelms), as a teenager and they were married in February of 1962. Their romance lasted over 61 years, and during that time, they were blessed with four children, Eileen Gallagher, William Gallagher Jr. (Esther Stanton), Mariann Cardonick (Arthur Cardonick) and Steven Gallagher. His two sons, William Jr., and Steven both predeceased their father, but were surely awaiting his arrival at heaven’s gate. Bill (Pop-Pop) also enjoyed and welcomed the arrival of his seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom he enjoyed spending time and laughter with.
Bill himself came from a large family, his father Michael Gallagher Sr. and mother Catherine Gallagher (Murray) had eight children together. Bill was the youngest and he was predeceased by both parents and his seven siblings.
Bill was a very caring, funny, and loving man, but he was also a very private man. It is therefore his request that his funeral services be private with only his immediate family in attendance. We are of course following his wishes.
