Virginia “Ginny” K. Cantafio Bello

August 14, 1955 – April 19, 2024

Virginia “Ginny” K. Cantafio Bello, 68, resident of Glenolden, PA peacefully passed away on Friday April 19th, 2024, shortly after a recent diagnosis of lung cancer.

Daughter of the late Virginia and Robert Cantafio, Ginny was born August 14th, 1955 and is the oldest of 5. She attended Vo-Tech for cosmetology, and graduated from Interboro High School in 1973. She was a jack of all trades when engaging with people from all walks of life through her working career; waitressing, bartending, Sandy’s Deli, Glenolden Elementary, as well as Glenolden Swim Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Blue; grandchildren, Katelyn Schestok, Mason Hudson, and Vincenzo Bello; sisters, Susan Fleming and Barbara Moore; brother, Robert Cantafio; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a great grandson.

In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bello; her son, Michael Bello; her brother, Brian Cantafio; and her grandson, Jace Hudson in infancy.

Ginny enjoyed spending time with family, attending sporting events for her grandchildren, gardening, and reading books while vacationing on the beaches of Key West, Florida. She was an extremely wise woman, a shoulder to cry on for all who needed it, and a reliable mother, sister, grandmother, family member, and friend.

Services for Virginia will be announced at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in memory of Virginia would be appreciated.
