Sally Doyle (born as Sara Devereaux) passed away on January 16 at age of 80. She was the beloved daughter of Larry Devereaux and Betty Devereaux. Dear Sister to brothers Jack, Larry and Joe Devereaux (Millie). Devoted mother of Michael Allen (Kiersteen Keeler) and Joseph Doyle (deceased). Sadlymissed by friends and remaining Devereaux family.
Sally was born in Philadelphia moved to Delaware County finally settling in Woodlyn PA. Sadly her first husband Bobby Allen died in a plane crash in 1967, She remarried to Joseph Doyle Sr. She is now reunited with both in a better place.
Sally graduated from West Catholic high school in Philadelphia. She then opened her own business as a hairstylist that she owned for over 30 years.
Sally befriended everyone and made people laugh. She had a gift to make people feel comfortable to speak too, be around, and a strong devotion to support her family. Also loved and spoiled her grandchildren, Casey, Megan, Ryan and Aidan. She was a dog lover and had many over the years that she would spoil.
All of us have at least one funny “Sally Doyle” story. She will be sadly missed by everyone.
Family and friends are invited to Sally’s visitation on Monday, January 23rd from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074. A Prayer Service will immediately follow at 11 a.m.
