It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Richard Gavetti Jr. of Folsom, PA on Sunday, October 29th, 2023 at the age of 42 years.
He is survived by his mother, Doreen Marie Gavetti, his brother, Steven Gavetti, Grandmother Lucy Buck, Nana, Rose Crowley, nephew Anthony Gavetti, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his loving father Richard Gavetti, Sr. and his Grandfather Albert Buck.
Richard loved his friends and family very dearly. Family meant everything to him. He always made people laugh, feel great about themselves and their accomplishments. After a conversation with Richard, you walked away feeling like you were on top of the world. He had a passion for music, loved playing the guitar and the drums. From the time he was a child, he enjoyed trying new foods and as an adult he was an enthusiastic home chef. Richard especially loved the outdoors, being in nature and camping with friends. An important aspect of his life was discovering the world around him, reading and fostering meaningful conversations.
Richard was a Senior Web developer at GO2 Tech in Springfield, Pa. He was loved and valued by all of his coworkers, with whom he worked with for over 10 years. He graduated from Ridley High School in 1999 and he is a graduate of the Chubb Institute where he received a degree in web development. Prior to his studies he worked as an apprentice plumber.
Family and friends are welcome to join Richard’s Funeral Service on Monday, November 6th at 11:00 A.M at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike in Norwood, Pa 19074. Visitation will be from 10 – 11am. Burial will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Marcus Hook.
Memorial donations may be made in Richard Gavetti Jr.’s name to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, Pa 19103.
