Paul F. Thomas, 61,
Fitness Consultant and Personal Trainer
Paul F. Thomas, 61, of Aldan, Pa., a fitness consultant and personal trainer in the suburban Philadelphia area, died January 20 from complications of a stroke.
He was the beloved son of the late Raymond and Ann Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Chrissie (Pirritano), his daughter, Cartier, his fur baby, Bear, his brother, Raymond, and his sister, Marybeth.
Paul grew up in Havertown. He graduated from St. Dorothy Elementary School in 1976 and Cardinal O’Hara High School in 1980. At O’Hara, Paul was a member of the ice hockey team. He was captain of the varsity team his senior year.
Paul went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from West Chester University and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Temple University. In 1991, he established his own fitness consulting and personal training company, Fitpro Inc.
Paul was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, but his favorite sport was volleyball. He never missed a single one of his daughter’s games and there were a lot! He could always be found cheering on the bleachers with soft pretzels for the whole team. Paul would never turn down the opportunity to walk Bear. They were best friends. He knew all the dogs in the neighborhood and would look forward to seeing them every day. Paul was the most kind and caring man. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
