Paul (Bud) Wayne Lingle II, of Ridley Park, age 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 4th, 2022. He was the son of the late Paul Wayne Lingle and Elizabeth Kulp Lingle.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Virginia (Ginny) Hollway Lingle, four children: Scott, Lori Martin (Paul), Kurt (Michelle), Brant (Erin), two sisters: Elizabeth Alleman and Paula Estornell, eight grandchildren and a great grandson.
Paul was born in Phillipsburg, PA on December 27th, 1935. He graduated from Abington High School and from Philadelphia Bible Institute, now Cairn University.
He enlisted in the Army in 1958 and served in Germany 1959 – 1960 followed by several years in the Reserves. He received his teaching degree from Taylor University, Indiana. He earned his master’s degree from the University of Delaware. Paul taught for 30 years in the Upper Darby School District.
Bud was very active at Woodlyn Baptist Church where he served as a deaon, Missions Chairman, Christian Service Brigade leader, Vacation Bible School Teacher, KeenAgers leader and sang in the choir.
In his retirement, Pop-Pop enjoyed caring for his grandchildren, sailboating, hunting and special times at America’s Keswick Campground/Retreat in New Jersey.
Visitation: Saturday, May 21st, from 10am to 11am at Woodlyn Baptist Church, 1125 MacDade Blvd., Woodlyn, PA. 19094. Service: 11 am Saturday, May 21st at Woodlyn Baptist Church. Burial: Fernwood Cemetery, Fernwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodlyn Baptist Church. Arrangements: Griffith Funeral Chapel, Norwood.
