Patricia A. Kelso, loving mother and wife, passed away Monday, July 26th, 2021. She passed surrounded by her family after a fearless battle with lung cancer. She was 56 years old.
Patsy was born on August 15th, 1964 in Ridley Park to her parents Anne and Richard Goldsborough. She attended Interboro High School and Presbyterian Nursing School, achieving an RN in 1986. She met Daniel Kelso, the love of her life, at the Jersey Shore in 1983. They married at Norwood Methodist Church in 1987. She worked as a NICU RN at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital where all of her children were born, followed by Chester County Hospital, for a total of 23 years of active nursing. She later transitioned to a career in Nurse Case Management at Keystone First until 2020.
Patsy loved being a mother, and her sanctuary was the beach. She was at her happiest sitting along the surf with her feet in the wet sand, listening to the sound of crashing waves with her family. If she couldn’t be at the beach, she was content tending to her flower garden surrounded by her cats.
She is survived and celebrated by her husband Dan and their three children, Danny, Kevin, and Sarah, along with her father Richard and brother Glenn.
Patsy was an avid lover of cats, and the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Forgotten Cats shelter in Delaware, who provided her with many a feline companion.
