Myrtle “Midge” Shoup of Ridley Park left us suddenly July 25, 2022 at age 90. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
Midge found joy in a lot of things. She started each day with her beloved cup of Wawa coffee and a hash brown and ended each evening watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She adored her campground family and loved spending long weekends “At the trailer” with her family and all of her friends. Midge spent many years running the entertainment committee at The Woodlands and could always be found playing BINGO in the pavilion on a Saturday night. An avid reader, Midge spent her quiet time enjoying books and the daily newspaper. She absolutely loved decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. It gave her great joy to hand out Halloween candy and admire the children’s costumes. Midge also enjoyed shopping and especially loved going out for after holiday sales.
Midge was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emerick and Mabel; husband, Allen; siblings Jeanette, June, Sarah, and Richard; and daughter in law, Joanne.
She is survived by siblings, Patricia and Douglas; children, Scot and Annette (Michael); grandchildren, Tara (William), Chad (Jennifer), Mandy (Damien), and Lindsay; and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Savannah, Kennedy, Layla, and Brynlee.
Family services will be private.
