Mildred F. (Mimi) McDaniel passed away early Saturday morning, June 4, 2022. Born on November 18, 1923 in Timmonsville, SC. Mildred attended eleven different schools before graduating from high school. Mimi loved the ocean, its beauty, peacefulness, calming qualities, and majesty. A “Southern girl”, she especially loved the Low Country area around Surfside Beach, SC, where she was born and raised and vacationed with her family for many summers.
Mimi exhibited grace, dignity, and friendliness which made her friend to the stranger and loved by all who were fortunate to know her.
Mrs. McDaniel was a life long member of Prospect Hill Baptist Church where she served several terms as Trustee and Deacon. Her fortitude and strength enabled her to rise to the position of office manager at Spano Real Estate, a position she held for fifteen years. In spite of a childhood accident. which left her with a handicap of her dominant right hand, she was a fluid typist, beautiful seamstress, and crocheter.
Mildred was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence (Buck) of seventy-five years. She is survived by her daughter, Belva (Dennis), two granddaughters Laura Griffith (Tom), Melissa McCall (Doug), four great-grandchildren Stephen and Matthew Griffith, Makayla and Julia McCall, one step grandson Jason Wilson (Megan), and two step grandchildren Lexi and Ryder Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Griffith Funeral Chapel in Norwood, PA. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in Edgewood Memorial Park in Glen Mills, Pa.
