Kathleen “Kate” Jane (Boyle) Kane, 72, of Smyrna, DE, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Cadia Broadmeadow in Middletown, DE. Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 5, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth Boyle. Kathleen is survived by her son, Jack (wife Jennifer) of Fayetteville, PA, her daughter, Brandace “Brande” (husband Lewis) of Smyrna, DE, her grandchildren, Nicholas, Jack and Jackie, and her beloved cat, KC. Kathleen was a third-generation horticulturalist, as well as a gifted artist, specializing in murals. She was a very practical and loyal person, and carried a witty humor, much like her Dad. She loved playing sports in her youth, enjoyed fishing through adulthood, and always made time for those she cared about. Kathleen will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation from 10:00 to 11:00am with funeral services to immediately follow on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Griffith Funeral Chapel in Norwood, PA. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, Pa. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the SPCA in Kathleen’s name.
