Kathleen C. Magnin, 87 years old, of Drexel Hill, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, February 7, 2021 after a long fight against cancer.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was predeceased by her husband, Allen Magnin, Sr.; her son, Allen Magnin, Jr.; and her grandson, Michael E. Videtto, Jr., and her two sisters, Mary Tucker and Madeline Foote. Cass was the daughter of the late Claude and Madeline (nee Ferry) Root.
Cass was the mother of nine children and a homemaker. She held jobs as a salesperson for Gimbels, and J.C. Penny as well as a mail order clerk at Mailers Unlimited in Darby. She was known for her steadfast commitment to family as well as many favorite labels such as “peanut chew” and “sweet pickles”.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen Gailey (James), Pauline Videtto (Michael), Betty McKay, Madeline Day (Ed), Mildred O’Leary (Patrick), Carolyn Racek (John), Walter Magnin (Amy), and Claudia Magnin; her 15 grandchildren; and her 7 great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, February 13th, from 9;30 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood, Pa. 19074.
The funeral service and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of her memory to the Sydney Kimmel Cancer Research at Jefferson Hospital or the Michael E. Videtto, Jr. Memorial Scholarship at Lebanon Valley College, 101 North College Avenue, Annville, Pa. 17003.
