John W. Elliott, 80, a resident of Woodbury Heights, N.J. and a former resident of Essington, Pa., passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021.
Born in Ridley Park, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert and Margaret Elliott.
John was employed as a computer analyst and was retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia.
He was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Essington, where he served the church in many capacities over the years including serving on the Vestry and serving as a Eucharistic Minister. John enjoyed the outdoors and nature and hiking in his spare time.
He is survived by his nephews, Justin Otten and Richard Otten, Jr. and his loving church family.
His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at 11 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 16 W. Third Street, in Essington, Pa. 19029.
There will be a visitation time on Saturday from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the church. Burial in the church Memorial Garden will follow the service.
