John W. Royer, III, (ACE), as we all knew him, passed away suddenly on September 5, 2023. He was 52 years old. Ace lived in New Castle County, Delaware, his whole life. He made many friends and broke many hearts along the way. Ace was street smart, extremely loyal, quick thinker, and he would find ingenious ways to help a friend or a new process at work. Ace missed his calling as a tattoo artist, but he made up for it in freestyle art wherever he frequented. We may be saddened and heartbroken by our loss, but the memories he left behind are in abundance. Ace loved with his whole heart and never forgot you. He made you feel special by staying in touch, and by remembering special days. He also held you to account if time passed without hearing from you. Ace was a jokester, prankster, a great dancer, he minded his own business, he was old school, and his favorite pastime was watching movies with his son. Ace loved all music but especially rap.
Ace was preceded in death by his parents: Ruth Alice Royer; John W. Royer II, his brothers: Brian Royer, Allen Tripoli, one sister: Diana Tilghman. He is survived by his son, Aeric Royer, his siblings: Mike Royer (Donna-spouse), Debble Royer, Chuck Tripoli, Louise Ashcraft (Richard-spouse), his nieces and nephews: Lori Royer, Bobbie Royer, Kim Royer, Billy Ray Royer, Lisa Dominguez, Angela Cottingham (Gary-spouse), Amy Tilghman, Danny Digsby, numerous cousins, and all his awesome caring friends.
Ace was cremated following his sudden death and the family has not made plans for a service at this time. Should the family decide to have a service the details will be posted here at a later time.
