Janice Turnier

Janice Turnier passed peacefully November 6th surrounded by her children. Raised in Tinicum by her parents Mary (Clay) and Albert Barr along with her 7 siblings George (Joan), Pat (Carol), Lois (Edward), Joanie (Tony), Mary (Mike), John and Robert (Sally). She married Richard Turnier after working at Clifton Precision and settled in Ridley Township. Janice wore many hats in her life. While her children were in elementary school she was very active in the school PTA and enjoyed Monday afternoon bowling with her friends. When the kids were older she decided to clean houses for a living.  After her grandchildren (Lindsey and Natalie) were born she took great pleasure in watching them and spending time together. Lindsey and Mom mom would spend every Thursday preparing and eating dinner together. Every Monday Natalie and she would go to Chuckie Cheese. Janice enjoyed going to the casino, watching classic “who dun it” murder mystery movies and baking Christmas cakes and cookies for friends and family members. Janice is survived by her children Richard Jr., Edward, David (Peggy), Cindi, her brother Robert and her grandchildren Lindsey and Natalie. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to The Special Olympics. Services will be Wednesday November 15th at Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood, Pa 19074. Visitation at 10 am followed by a brief ceremony at 11.
