George S. Hutchins, 74, a longtime resident of Essington, Tinicum Township, passed away on January 15, 2023 at his residence.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Sterling and Margaret Jane Hutchins.
George was employed as a Security Inspector with Aviation Safeguard in Philadelphia for many years until his retirement.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the former First Baptist Church of Essington and was a longtime active member of the Collingdale Church of the Nazarene.
George is survived by his sister, Laura Bishop, and his niece and two nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood, Pa. 19074. There will be a visitation on Saturday from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the funeral home.
His burial will take place on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at 2 P.M. in the family lot at Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery in Cape May, N.J.
