Edward John Kirshner (Kirsh)

Obituary

Born in Philadelphia to William & Anne (Burnside) Kirshner and raised in Ridley Park. He graduated from Ridley Township High School, enlisted in the US Marine Corp & completed a five year machinist apprenticeship at Boeing Vertol. Mr. Kirshner was employed by Boeing Helicopters for more than 30 years. He was an active member of UAW Local 1069 serving as a shop steward, a committeeman, vice president and lastly as president. He was a member of Springfield-Hanby Lodge 767 F & AM of Pennsylvania.

He is survived by Marion, his wife of more than 55 years, daughters Krista Kirshner, Kelly Costa, & husband Mark as well as grandchildren, Caitlyn Royal & husband Alex, Corrine & Christopher Costa, and one great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Royal, as well as in-laws Margaret Tribuiani, John Fisher, III, Jaqueline Kirshner & numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kirshner was predeceased by his parents, brothers William, Jr. and Gerald. He is survived by his sister, Catherine Ann Seifert.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Prayer Service on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Avenue, in Morton, Pa. 19070.

His burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made in his memory to a National Park would be appreciated.
