David Arthur Esrey Jr. 70, passed away June 12, 2023 peacefully in his sleep at home in Ridley Park, PA. Dave was born Sept 23, 1952 and was predeceased by his parents, (Dolores) Arlene Clayton (Robert) and David Arthur Esrey Sr. (Joan) and his brother Paul Nelson Esrey.
Dave is survived by his love of eleven years Anne Berner. His four children, Amanda Esrey, Tiffany Hernandez (Jason), David Esrey, and Paul Esrey. His five grandchildren, Ocean, Naia, Jason (Tessie), Jasmine and David. His sister Judy Clayton, his two brothers James Esrey and Robert Clayton (Joan) and eight nieces and nephews.
Dave was a 1970 graduate of Interboro High School, after high school he joined the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1974. He spent many years as a commercial fisherman out of Florida and Texas and he enjoyed hunting. He moved back to the area in the late 80s enjoyed time on his boat and being near family and friends. He loved watching the Eagles & the Phillies. Dave liked camping with Anne at the Jersey Shore.
Dave was always a very committed employee no matter what position he held or job he was doing and would always help others when needed.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Casey’s in Ridley Park at 1pm.
