Albert E. Costa, 81, also known as “Big Al”, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital- Monroe Campus in Stroudsburg, Pa.
Al was a longtime resident of Prospect Park until he retired to the Poconos in May of 2000. He was born in Vineland, N.J. to Louis D. and Myrtle Costa.
Al was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and then was employed by Trans World Airlines (TWA) at the Philadelphia International Airport until his retirement. He loved old cars and street rods and was also a member of the Delaware County Street Rod Association.
Al enjoyed working outside and helping his neighbors when not spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Miriam; his children, Scott Costa (Tracy), Mark Costa (Kelly), and Judy Pantalone (Mike); and his grandchildren, Nikki, Nevada, Netanya, Caitlyn, Corrine, Christopher, Chloe, Jacob, and Jeremy.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at 2 P.M. at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood, Pa. 19074.
There will be a visitation time on Saturday from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
His burial will be private.
