Ralph J. DiBattista

Ralph J. DiBattista, "Rocky", 75, of Lester, formerly of Overbrook, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2021 at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Born in North  Adams, Massachusetts, he was the oldest child of Joseph DiBattista and Carmella (nee Messina).  The family settled in Overbrook, where Ralph attended  Our Lady of Lourdes and was a graduate of St. Tommy More.  He married his wife Gloria (nee DeMatteo) in 1969.  Rocky was a butcher by trade and spent the last 30 years working on 9th Street in the Italian Market.  He loved all the Philadelphia sports teams and was a die-hard Eagles fan.

He is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Gloria (2019).  He is survived by his sons, Gregory (Kelly) and Ralph (Delia); his granddaughter Olivia; and grandsons Greg and Daniel.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021, at 11 A.M. at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood, Pa. 19074.

There will be a visitation time on Thursday from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Bryn Mawr Hospital Hospice (Main Line Health Hospice) in Rocky's memory.
